My name is Renée Randazzo and I am a white, able-bodied queer/pansexual cisgender witchy woman of Italian and French heritage. My undergraduate degree is in Gender Studies and Communications. I spent a decade working for nonprofit organizations that served children with disabilities or promoted girls’ empowerment. I earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2014, worked as a Transgender Health Patient Advocate at Fenway Health, and have focused my clinical work on youth and on LGBTQ+ populations.
While living in Austin, I offered individual and couples counseling services at Discovery Counseling, facilitated school-based therapeutic groups through Out Youth, and helped to bring experts from Fenway Health to teach at the first conference of the Central Texas Transgender Health Coalition. I worked as a professional counselor through my own practice, Renaître Counseling, up through 2023.
I grew up in Portland, Maine and have lived in many diverse cities (Albuquerque, New Orleans, New York City, Orlando, Boston, Austin, and various cities of the Pacific Northwest.) My hobbies include kayaking, singing, going to concerts with my daughter, baking, and finding sacred spots in nature. In addition to deepening my services in a coaching model, I hope to begin writing about the intersection of transgender experiences and complex trauma. I also dream of compiling stories about gender rites of passage, organizing support groups and celebrations, and facilitating retreats.
But enough about me. I’d love to learn about you!
